Media player stop updating media library

Rated 4.44/5 based on 848 customer reviews

I'm thinking of switching back to windows xp pending the final version released. I have a very large music library on a separate drive.I have mapped the "My Music" folder to this the same as I did in Vista and the Win 7 Beta.Change what opens the file to windows media player from the list, right click on the song. Microsoft is conducting an online survey to understand your opinion of the Technet Web site. The first album was found correctly and is found in the library. I can browse to the missing album and play it but it isn't in the library with the rest of the artists music. The album did come in at first but was missing 3 songs.I deleted it from the library (made sure it was still on the server) restarted Media Player hoping that it would refresh and find the full album.

Music Then delete all the directories listed in there and WMP won't build a library at all.

It is a real pain to get media player to update the library.

It eventually will but I can find no rhyme or reason as to when it will do it.

Repeat for the other categories as well if necessary.

I realize this is not ideal but at least stops the annoyance.
